The Montafon is a valley in the province of Vorarlberg in the south of the Verwall mountains and north of the Rätikon and Silvretta mountains – its most famous peak is the Piz Buin with an elevation of 3.300 m. Holidays in the Montafon equate to enjoying the purest form of Vorarlberg with its untouched nature, breathing its air feels like breathing virgin air – perfect for those who are not interested in party tourism, but nevertheless treasure the well-developed infrastructure necessary for enjoying skiing even at an advanced level. But the region is no less impressive for summer activities like hiking, cycling and mountain climbing.
