The region around Kufstein consists of 8 smaller villages – including the only village in Tyrol with thermal springs, Bad Häring – in addition to Kufstein itself, which is the second biggest town in Tyrol. The beautiful, middle aged town with its fortress, called the “pearl of Tyrol”, is highly recommended. The region around the city is perfect for summer activities like hiking, climbing and mountain biking and ideal for Rafting. For winter tourists there is a small skiing area, perfect for beginners, alternatively other winter sports are accessible (e.g. ice sports).
