The Lavanttal is a valley in the south of Austria in the province of Carinthia. It is famous for its summer tourism activities, especially the very delightful biking and mountain biking tours, hiking trails and a couple of lakes perfect for bathing. The best known villages are Lavamünd as well as the old city of Wolfsberg with its castle in the unique Tudor style.
