Some may wonder why the industrial city of Linz including its surroundings made it into the TOP 100 regions in Austria. Here are 3 good reasons for it: first, the founder of ERVICo is born there. Second, the region is also of outstanding economic importance for the whole of Austria (and therefore an interesting location for residing). Third: the old town of the Upper Austrian capital Linz is very nice, and also the hillsides surrounding the city have a lot of charm. As third largest city of Austria the town has just a little more than 200.000 inhabitants. However, if we include the surrounding regions, more than 800.000 people are living in the metropolitan area of Linz, which makes it the second biggest metropolitan area of Austria. The town offers quite a lot of cultural events worth visiting: Linzer Klangwolke, Brucknerfest, Pflasterspektakel or Prix Ars Electronica – all of them highly recommended!
