Saalbach-Hinterglemm is a community of 2 villages that have been merging to form one village over the last 30 years. Together with the villages Leogang and Fieberbrunn they form one of the biggest skiing areas in the province of Salzburg and the whole of Austria, especially after the world championships in the 1990ies. In summertime it is probably the best region for mountain bikers in Austria with trails of around 400 km and all the necessary infrastructure of cable cars bringing the bikers to their routes. Hikers will find beautiful landscapes and extraordinary nature experiences. Finally, not far away is the amazing city of Saalfelden for those who need cultural entertainment – for instance the Jazz Festival taking place there every year – all in all an absolute allrounder among the regions!
