The Ötztal is a valley in Tyrol between Ötztaler and Stubaier Alpen (also check Stubaital), east of Imst. The valley consists of 5 villages, the most famous of them is Sölden, because of the ski races taking place there every year. This is why in the region around Sölden winter tourism is dominant, while the other villages are striving both for winter and summer tourism (hiking, cycling, mountain biking or even bathing in one of the mountain lakes, e.g. the Piburger See). Beautiful nature, very high mountains like the Wildspitze and impressive waterfalls like the Stuibenfall: all in all the Ötztal has a lot to offer, especially for those who treasure relaxing holidays.
