The Ausseer Land is another touristic Hot spot in the southern Salzkammergut in the north west of Styria on the border with Upper Austria. The beautiful landscape as well as the charming villages like Bad Aussee and Altaussee and finally a couple of mountain lakes (especially the Altausseer See and the Grundlsee) attract a large number of mainly summer- but also winter tourists. Beautiful hiking and cycling tours and above all the lakes are inviting for summer holidays. The lakes in Ausseer Land are also fresh, reaching temperatures of up to 25 degrees in summertime.
