Samnaun is a village and a region in Switzerland, however, the term Samnaungruppe refers to a group of mountains (in the central Alps) belonging to Switzerland as well as the province of Tyrol in Austria. The most famous mountain on the Austrian side is maybe the Furgler at 3.004 m (e.g. for a challenging ski tour), its most famous village is Ischgl and there is another famous skiing area: Serfaus – Fis – Ladis.
