The Nassfeld is a mountain saddle in Carinthia between the 2 valleys Gailtal on the Austrian side and Kanaltal on the Italian side. The nearby Lesachtal in the district of Hermagor is part of the Gailtal and running parallel to the Italian border, the mountains covering the valley are the Gailtaler Alpen, the Karnischen Alpen and the Lienzer Dolomiten. The beautiful Weissensee is the bathing lake at the highest elevation in Carinthia (1.000 m) and also a village in the north of Hermagor. This region is a real gem among the Austrian regions – from perfect skiing areas to amazing biking and hiking trails to beautiful bathing lakes (the Pressegger See achieves 28 degrees in summertime) – you can really have everything in this region – that’s a promise!
