The Zillertal is a famous valley in the province of Tyrol that separates the Tuxer Alpen from the Kitzbüheler Alpen. It is one of the most traditional and historic locations for alpine mountain climbing. Today the valley is a very popular skiing area, consisting of 4 different regions. The biggest one being the Zillertal Arena (check Gerlos Region and Zell am Ziller), but also the others are very popular: Fügen/Hochfügen, Mayrhofen and Tux with the glacier Hintertux, which operates all year ski lifts. During summer there are amazing hiking and cycling opportunities, special activities in the valley include the Lama-Trekking-Tours which are very entertaining for the whole family. A picture from the suspension bridge at the Olperer alpine hut is a must have for social media.
